Ellis Canvas Short COMING SOON
Oh, the sweet sweet sound of Velcro-closure boardies. Nothing takes us back to an early-’90s beach quite like it.
The Ellis Shorts are inspired by the fitted boardshorts we remember from that era — high on the waist, contrast piping, colour blocking and that unmistakable Velcro-and-snap closure. We’ve reworked them in 100% lightweight cotton canvas, swapping the usual synthetic fabric for something breathable, natural and made to soften beautifully with wear.
Three tones of blue are pieced together with crisp white piping. The cotton canvas has enough structure to hold the shape of the short without feeling stiff, and becomes softer and more lived-in the more you wear it.
Wear them fitted and high-waisted in your regular size, or size up one if you prefer them sitting lower and a little looser on the hips.

Fabrication
100% Cotton Lightweight Canvas
We chose cotton for its breathability, durability and natural feel. It won’t dry as quickly as a synthetic boardshort fabric, but it feels comfortable against the skin, holds its shape well and softens over time without losing its strength.
Fit & Feel
For a fitted, high-waisted look, choose your regular size.
If you prefer them lower on the hips with a little more room, we recommend sizing up one size.

Wetsuits are sized on height and weight rather than body measurements. Our suits are cut in AU sizes and should feel snug without restricting you — a loose suit flushes water.

How to measure
To find the perfect Atmosea fit, simply put on your favourite underwear and measure yourself directly on your body. Take care to wear a really splendid-fitting bra.
- Bust
- Measure around the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra that fits.
- Under bust
- Measure around your ribcage directly beneath your bust.
- Waist
- Measure around the narrowest point of your waist.
- Hips
- Measure around the fullest part of your hips (seat).
