NO MAKEUP. NO HIDING. Atmosea x Laugh Lines
When the opportunity came to team up with iconic photographer and our beautiful friend Cait Miers for her Laugh Lines Project, it honestly felt like a dream come true.
Laugh Lines is Cait’s incredible mission to photograph 1,000 women around the world without makeup, challenging the way we’ve been taught to think about beauty, ageing and our own faces.
It’s a message that feels incredibly close to home for us.
When I started Atmosea, I never really understood the idea of putting loads of makeup on women for a surf shoot. We’re going in the ocean. We’re getting salty, our hair is going everywhere, our freckles are out and our faces are getting sun-kissed. That’s the beauty of it.
So from the very beginning, our shoots have always been about showing our girls as they really are.
No makeup. No hiding the lines, freckles or all the little things that make us, us. Just our beautiful ladies being themselves.
It’s never really felt like a statement, it’s just always been Atmosea. We want the women wearing our pieces to be able to see themselves in our pictures. Real women, real skin, the real deal.
The Laugh Lines Mission
Laugh Lines is Cait’s incredible mission to photograph 1,000 women around the world without makeup, challenging the way we’ve been taught to think about beauty, ageing and our own faces.
The mission is beautifully simple:
To help women from around the world reclaim their beauty and identity by helping them see what was never missing.
Something we couldn’t believe in more.
For our shoot, we brought together some of our beautiful Atmosea ladies and let them simply be themselves. No makeup, no covering up, no trying to make anyone look like somebody else.
And bloody hell, they’re beautiful.
These are the faces we want to see more of. Women surfing, laughing, ageing, living, getting salty, getting sun-kissed and feeling comfortable in their own skin.
We cannot wait to show you the whole campaign, but you’ll have to wait just a little longer. The full shoot will be revealed early next year when we launch our new range.
For now, here’s a little sneak peek of our beautiful ladies, just as they are.
