FRIDAY TUNES BY ELISA

As humans we are forever evolving, forever learning. What are some of the biggest lessons you have learnt lately?
For me, I have learnt to really make the time to slow down and breathe the fresh air, take in the beauty of my current surroundings and really enjoy exactly where I am right now. Cliché, I know, but sometimes we honestly need the reminder. It is so easy to get caught up in the motions of life that we miss what is right before our eyes.
This week we bring to you a playlist of our friend Elisa, from Bilbao in the beautiful Basque Country. We were lucky enough to share some waves last week and get to know this lovely lady, and we thought we should share some of her beauty with you too.
This playlist is calming and soft, and sounds as delicious as surfing perfect little waves with your nearest and dearest feels. We hope you enjoy it too. x

Describe to us your dream day...

I like simple things, my dream day would be waking up early, walking to the top of a mountain and once I’m there, eating a big sausage butty (spanish sandwich) while I enjoy the beautiful views.

If you could have a super power what would it be?

That’s easy, It would be FLYING! Sometimes I dream I can fly and that’s an incredible feeling. It makes me feel free.

What is your favourite meal to make?

I should confess I’m not the best cook, however there’s a meal I can prepare very well, chicken with beer sauce.

Favourite surf memory?

As I started surfing not long ago, I don’t have too many memories yet, but I could say every wave is important for me because they make me smile.

How do you define success?

For me success is living the life you have chosen, surrounded by the ones you love and make you happy.

How do you practice self love?

I try to be loyal to my principles, defend what I think is correct and live happy starting every morning with a big smile.

When you aren’t surfing, what would we find you doing?

As a painter, you could find me working not only in the studio but also lost in the forest, into the wild, swimming in the sea… Because, nature is my biggest source of inspiration.

Travel Plans?

I'm thinking about going for a visit to Australia and once there, I would like to go to Vietnam and China. I’m very interested in their exotic culture.

What do you find yourself day dreaming about?

Travelling around the world looking for inspiration, new colours, different shapes, beautiful lights and shadows… looking for anything that makes me keep painting. I also imagine myself living a peaceful life without stress or schedules. What is Elisa’s Life Motto?

In the end, everything finds its place.
