Kê Lì and her family travel to Lightning Ridge, Outback NSW, Australia to sustainably source natural rough opals directly from the fields. She then takes all the rough opal home to Byron Bay and cuts through each hand picked stone layer by layer to hand carve and polish the opals into the finished shapes that you see. Finally, Kê Lì carefully sets every single one-of-a-kind opal into a hand forged precious metal setting using traditional silver and goldsmithing techniques. This means that everything from gem to metal is handmade with love by Kê Lì.
