Passion- Charlotte Passion- Charlotte

Passion; that intangible driving force behind the engine of your mind, heart and soul.  In reflection, it is simple to suggest that the intensity of passion in your life rollercoasters with time. There are moments when you are all consumed by this almost indescribable feeling, and other times when you are just moving through the motions; from one cloud to another. This week we have had the insight into the mind of wonder woman, Charlotte Lethbridge and what passions she currently has oozing through her being.

We would love to hear what you are passionate about! Send us a DM or email and share with us the things in your life that make your heart pound a little harder in your chest and your mind swirl with extra sparkly feelings.

What does passion mean to you?

Your passion can be anything that instantly challenges you, intrigues you and motivates you. Contrary to the idea that doing what you love makes work effortless, I believe a passion puts you to work. It's what you're willing to sacrifice lesser leisure time for. Seek it and where you find it may surprise you.

What are you passionate about?

Surfing (both for leisure and competition), my pets and most animals in general, art (making it and admiring it) spending time with those most close to me; my friends and family.

What inspired you to find this passion/ how did it become so prevalent in your life?

Passionate people are always chasing the next goal with the unwavering belief that they'll achieve it. You know how it feels when you're looking forward to a really special event? Passionate people feel like that every day. I guess I have been inspired by my older sister who introduced me to surfing when we were really young. She has encouraged me to always improve and learn the skills of longboarding.

Do you think identity is connected to passion?

Yes, a significant element of identity is the passion which I believe is woven within a person's identity. A big part of understanding people’s make ups is first seeing what makes them light up or feel enthusiastic about. Their true identity stems from what they really believe are their priorities and the most important things in their life.

What is identity? Is it linked to your history and culture?

Definitely. My history and cultural beliefs have defined the person I am today by shaping my values, morals and the qualities that I share with my family and friends. I feel especially privileged to have been born and raised in Australia and to grow up living near the ocean as this has definitely influenced the person I am today.

How do you define your identity?

Being a teenager it is very easy to be influenced by my peers and social media. I have always tried, on the advice of my parents especially, to be individual and chase my own dreams. Therefore I always strive to choose my own style, my own opinions and to practice self-betterment daily. We can always strive to better individuals especially when we focus on our passions.
